Our Policies

Our Studio is fully equipped and to ensure your safety while working and learning with us.

We have a number of policies with which everyone must comply.

Studio Induction

You will be required to participate in a studio induction when you start working with us at our studio. The induction includes procedures for safe handling of torches, safe use of tools, use of Personal Protective Equipment, familiarisation with first aid and fire equipment and general studio rules and procedures.

Dress Code

As you will be working with potentially hazardous tools and materials, we require everyone to wear a T-shirt, jeans/long trousers and closed in shoes. Also, if you have long hair, please tie it back.

The dress-code requirements are for your own safety.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Payment is due in advance (at the time of booking). If you are unable to attend, please let us know at least 24 hours before class starts. In that case, you will receive a refund, less the We Teach Me booking fee.

If we cancel a class you will be given a full refund.

COVID-19  and Flu Risk Mitigation Strategy

Contemporary Metal  implemented a COVID-19 and Flu risk mitigation strategy in March 2020, which addressed the following:

  • The number of students per class has been reduced for maximum social distancing.
  • Use of hand sanitiser upon entering the workshop and hand hygiene thorough out classes.
  • Disinfecting all surfaces, benches, tools, pendant drills, torches and headsets prior to and after classes.
  • It is highly recommended that all students have the flu vaccination during the annual flu season.

If you feel unwell and or you live with someone who is not well or fit any of the COVID-19  and Flu virus self -isolation criteria, please do not come to the class. Arrangements will be made for a catch up class.
